Exterior renderFinally! After weeks and weeks of modeling and lots of long render hours the final project for my class in “Basic 3D modeling” is done. The task was to create a house or a building mainly to focus on rendering exterior pictures and to implement a background to the scene. Also we had to create a booklet and have it printed, i don’t have it in my hand yet so no actual picture of it but I’ll present it to you further down this post in its PDF format.

3D rendered grass made easy with Autograss

Posted on December 4, 2010 by Leave a comment

Grass rendered with autograssGot my hands on the Auto grass plug in, its made for use in Vray in 3ds max. The purpose of it is to make grass in a scene without a lot of modeling and use of proxies and it works! I attached a test render to this post to show you how it looks, also merged in a birch tree to have something more in there. The grass in this scene is made with some standard settings only but it’s possible to control the appearance of the grass with the help of different maps. If you want more info or maybe buy the plug in just pay a visit to the Happy-Digital homepage.

Introductionpost to celebrate the new blog design

Midprocess draft of 3d rendered chillout cornerThe blog has been redone with a new design and a different approach, earlier I used it to keep track on my school projects and to keep my friends updated on what I was doing. This is not how it’s going to be from here on, instead  I’ll be focusing on projects i have going on when they are completed or as in this post almost done. Also I will keep track on 3D related news and post them here to keep both you and me up to date. The picture I attached to this post is rendered out of a little spare time project i have going on, its a bedroom scene with a little desk area and as shown here a chill out corner. Because there is no deadline on this project I’m trying to get the result as close as photorealistic as possible or at least as close as I can get, my skills only go so far.
As you can see i have some more detailing work to do and also lots of material settings do get done but in time I’m confident I’ll have a result I’m satisfied with.

Well that’s all, hope to see you here often!
